It’s Freedom Day.
This day means so much to me as a Ghanaian American family woman, CEO, Fractional CHRO, and an Executive Coach.
Today, I honor my ancestors because they fought for my freedom.
They fought so I could have choices.
They fought so I could make impact.
They fought so I could be seen.
If you know me well, you know I enjoy talking about the power of community to achieve your leadership goals and your career dreams.
I am truly proud to be apart of the BIPOC community as a Black woman.
Why you might ask?
I appreciate how Black culture has evolved from rich African & Carribean heritage over hundreds of years.
I acknowledge that being Black makes me unique while also setting me apart in the workforce & business world.
I admire how my Black peers preserve sacred traditions around family life, work, entrepreneurship, religion, recreation, music, and art in their daily lives.
I amplify stories shared about the Black experience in history books, at museums, and on social media to promote cultural awareness in Non-Blacks.
I advance global workforce equity and champion inclusion by helping leaders & organizations build healthy company cultures.
Company culture determines the community experience for many professionals.
Diverse leaders want their employers to respect them and see their backgrounds as a gift, not a threat.
Companies with diverse leadership teams outperform their competitors.
Simply put, when your company culture embraces inclusivity it thrives!
Let’s prioritize increasing engagement, confidence, and performance in your women and minority leaders TODAY!
Let’s celebrate Freedom Day by finding new ways to attract, grow, and retain the best leaders.
Let's work together to cultivate an inclusive leadership and a thriving workforce. Drop me an email: jessica@evolvecareer.com
